Initiation:

Module Two

Experimenting & Expressing

“Here I am again, the place I’ve always been, but now I bathe in my own soul’s light.” — J.S.

Reflections

Journal

1) Reflecting on your experience thus far, review your reflections, practices, and ritual actions. You may want to spend some significant time with your journal, reading and reviewing and making new notations.

2) What is your intention at this point in your journey? What brought you to this threshold place? What do you desire? What are your concerns and fears?

Soundtrack

This is the some of the soundtrack we will use for your initiation ceremony, your intensive overnight session. It may be helpful to create a sense of familiarity to begin listening to this soundtrack during your day or as you drift off to sleep. If you have other songs you would like to include, please share those with us.

Yoga Postures

It is okay if you do not regularly practice yoga. You are welcome to review or practice these postures and poses. We will be doing these together the day of your intensive session. Yoga poses are another way to be present in and to your body. These poses are supportive and will be conducive to your experience during your intensive session and during the integration.

Ritual Actions

Creative Expression

After taking some time, choose one of the practices we have learned so far throughout our work together or another one you already engage. Allow yourself to become deeply present to the image, and the physical and emotional sensations that arise. Notice what emotions show up and where they come from within your body. Stay in this liminal state, this place of presence with your feelings both emotional and physical, for longer than you otherwise might. Tend and acknowledge those feelings both with your hands on your body and with introspective presence. You may see images or words may come to mind. An expression, poem, song, image or other ritual action may also arise. Allow yourself to express whatever has surfaced, even if it not quite clear yet. Use any materials you would like. Express and create what comes through in the image that expresses this resource of your own consciousness.
