Shooting Star

By Natalie Spurgeon

As a shooting star passes by

I wonder am I a shooting star?

Could I really be that happy?

I always told myself that when I’m gone

I’ll be a shooting star and come by every night.

I do think I could be that happy.

I just need to accept myself and I’ll grow.

Not everyone is perfect, including me.

Halloween Rocket

By Lila Graham

I’m going on a trip

in my favorite rocket ship

flying through the sky.

Little Einstein,

wait….wait…wait….

Halloween version.

I’m running on a knife.

It’s very scary.

It feels like I’m dying,

Spooky Einstein.

Deja Vu

By Ellie Moreland

Deja Vu is

A strong sensation of familiarity

Or knowing.

I always thought it was a

Creepy feeling although it

Recurs quite often.

My Mind

By Ellie Moreland

My upside down, spun around, messy, goopy, broken mind.

It goes up to down and left to right and somehow finds it’s way to ground.

It is dripping, drooping, dropping all over the place and I can’t make it stop!

But I guess that’s just how my upside down, spun around, messy, goopy, broken mind works.

What to Write

By Bodhi Rosch

I don't know what to write. I definitely don't know what to write. I definitely shamefully don't know what to

write. If you are a criminal and are stealing this book you should just leave it alone because it's not valuable.

Because, I don't know what to write! So if I were a criminal, I would just go steal something else. Because,

I dO- 00p/ Sorry about that. My pencil tip broke. The end.

Bat City

By Ellie Moreland

I nervously walked into the old, broken house. White fog seeped out of each nook and cranny. People popped out of each corner every turn you made. Clowns, ghouls, witches, wizards, all crept towards you curiously. Screamers, jugglers, and crawlers were in the distance waiting for me. I felt trapped. The adrenaline rushed through me as I hurried through the inside and out. I slowly and uneasily walked passed a half open door with loose chains draped around it. All of a sudden I heard a loud BANG, BANG, BANG! I realized something was in the closet. My heart beat rapidly as I ran through the short hall. As I reached the end, a creature popped out and quickly crawled toward me. I looked up and saw an exit shortly ahead. I quickly ran through the door excited for a breath of fresh air. One deep breath of outside air, and I quickly felt relieved. My heart gradually slowed from its rapid pace.
